Bill Mackey is an architect, artist, and educator living and working in Tucson. He received a “New Works” grant from the Arts Foundation for Tucson and Southern Arizona in 2016 to work on a project about the “Old Nogales Highway.”
Southern Arizona is home to some of the best-known astrophotographers, and part of the reason is the local effort to keep skies darker than many other metropolitan areas.
A couple of Tucson residents are hoping that more people will learn to appreciate and protect rattlesnakes and other snakes in our region and around the world.
