House Concurrent Resolution 2051 is a proposed constitutional amendment to make Arizona’s legislature unicameral and non-partisan. Currently, only the state of Nebraska has a unicameral legislature. Nebraska abolished its House of Representatives in the 1930’s. Tucson State Representative David Bradley is one of the sponsors of the proposal.
On February 25, 2010 the House Judiciary Committee voted on HCR 2051. It failed on a 3-3 vote.
