Senate Bill 1125 deals changes the requirements where animals can be sold. Currently, in counties with a population more than 800 thousand, animals cannot be sold on street corners, highways, or parks without permission of the property owner. Pima and Maricopa counties are the only two in Arizona where the law applies. SB 1125 sponsored by Tucson Senator Al Melvin (R) would change the law so it applies in all counties.
On February, 11, 2010, SB 1125 passed the full Senate on a 17-13 vote.
