Construction is moving forward on two major athletic facilities at the Mosaic Quarter, a new sports and entertainment destination taking shape near I-10 and Kino Parkway in Tucson.

The 175,000-square-foot Iceplex will feature three full-size ice rinks designed for hockey, figure skating, and other ice sports. The rinks will be open to community groups and recreational users, with amenities planned to serve athletes, families, and spectators.

The Iceplex is one of the central projects in Phase I of the Mosaic Quarter. Also under construction is the MQ Field House—a 131,000-square-foot indoor sports complex built across two levels. Each level will be roughly 25% larger than the playing surface at Arizona Stadium.

Designed for versatility, the Field House will accommodate a wide range of sports, thanks to interchangeable wood and turf flooring systems.

A central utility plant and on-site solar power will help run the complex, underscoring Mosaic Quarter’s stated commitment to sustainability, innovation, and long-term service to the community.
